Village Green Surface Repairs The Chairman informed the Councillors that Chris Wells will commence the work on the village green as soon as delivery of some materials have been received.
Bus Stop - At the last meeting the Parish
Council agreed that the bus stop adjacent to the seat located by the village
green would be provided with a hard standing gravelled surface at the
regulation height and slope which would meet the requirements for disabled
access. Sleepers would also
be used instead of kerb stone.
Steve Beal agreed to take measurements of the kerb stones and the
surface area with a slope either side that is located at the bus stop in
Cley. The Councillors agreed they
would action the provision of the
bus stop over the next few weeks.
As soon as the measurements were available a work party would be

8 Reports
Report from
Councillor Lindsay Brettle
The SMP Key Stakeholders' Meeting at Blakeney went off well but no doubt there will be comments which will be included in the Plan for public consultation.
The District Council has begun its public consultation of the LDF Site Specific Proposals Draft Development Plan, 15th June - 31st July. The Plan makes proposed allocations of land for housing, employment, town centre developments and new car parks in the District. Various venues are arranged for the housing exhibition but visit www.north-norfolk.org/ldf to download the documents and view and make comments online. Public consultation on the reuse of Rural Buildings as Dwellings has also been taking place, using the same website. Morston's comments would still be welcome though not included in the Report, if you have not already done so.
NNDC has started a massive programme of fixing and repairing street nameplates across the District. NNDC will work with Parish Councils to clarify the names of streets where there has been no signage in the past. In cases of vandalism or damage do report to streetsign.maintenance@north-norfolk.gov.uk.
The Draft NN SMP Plan 2 (Hunstanton to Kelling) will be available for public consultation on 20th July through till 30th October - allowing time for holiday and summer business commitments. The venues will be well publicised by the Environment Agency.
Finally, Green Build will again be held at the National Trust's Felbrigg Park over the weekend of 12 and 13th September.
