Wiveton Down Management Group
- Terms of Reference
1. Objectives
The Group is established for the public benefit for the following
purposes, in the area of land in Wiveton Parish edged in red on the attached
map, hereafter referred to as "the site".
a.
To
conserve and enhance the wildlife, landscape and amenity value of the site.
b.
To
protect the geomorphological (SSSI), landscape, historical, wildlife and public
access value of the site.
c.
To
hold meetings to assess and review the management of the site.
d.
To
give advice and information to visitors to the site.
e.
To
combine resources when possible to fund management of the site.
f. To ensure that all the
above objectives are met subject to endorsement by all parties.
2. Meetings
The group shall meet
approximately two times per year to advance the objectives of the site.
3. Members
Members of the group shall consist of up to two representatives from:
Norfolk
County Council
English
Nature
Wiveton
Parish Council
Adjacent
landowners to the site
Other
interested parties may be invited to join the group if appropriate.
4.
Termination
of group membership
Any member
of the group may by notifying the other members from paragraph 3 above,
terminate their representation to the group. If representation from Norfolk County Council or Wiveton
Parish Council is withdrawn, the area of Wiveton Down under their respective
ownerships will be withdrawn from the terms of the agreement.
